Sleeping Equipment

-Sleeping bag or liner or sheets (we have some extras you can borrow and others may as well). The Rosebud Mission center provides the mattresses...single beds. There is air conditioning in each room.

-Pillow

-Sleeping pad if you want one for overnight at Calvary Cathedral (as small as possible, preferably not the foam ones). Update: Church is providing 4 sleeping pads and 6 of us are bringing our own (Jeanie, Bill, John, Patti, Genny and Nilce). That covers all 10 of us staying there. There will also be some couches to sleep on if you choose.

-Sunscreen (Your choice. For an environmentally conscious choice you may consider Badger which REI carries or any product that says it is reef safe and does not have oxybenzone or nano sized particles.)

-Insect repellent for mosquitos and ticks (Again, your choice. For an environmentally conscious choice you may consider something with Picaridin which has been reported to work as well as DEET without some of the harmful effects. Dick’s Sporting Goods carries Sawyer and Natrapel brands. You can also use a Picaridin product to spray your clothes if you choose. -Hydrocortisone cream

- shower flip- flops only if you want them

-Close-toed walking or tennis shoes that you don’t mind getting paint on

-Jacket or sweatshirt-the nights are cool

-Lightweight rain jacket with hood

-Hat for painting and sun and possibly a bandana

-Water bottle

-Work gloves if you have them and dust mask (if you have them)

For Day 1

-If possible, pack a separate small bag for the overnight to keep with you (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, face wash items, change of underwear) (and clothes if you want to change)
