On 1995 July 6th, at Vienna Opera House, during "The Family Tour",

as their children joined the parents as well,

Ry Cooder and David Lindley dedicated Turlough O'Carolan's "Si Bheag, Si Mhor"

to Rory Gallagher who had passed away the previous month.

Japanese Musician Masashi Hara passed away last year regretfully.

Rory was one of his heroes and

Masashi played at 'Cork Rocks for Rocy' in 2007

and was loved tremendously by its audience .

The Cork Rocks for Rory committe kindly provied me some photos from the tribute.

Unfortunately the music from then is not available,

but you can still find and enjoy his awesome play on YT

In an interview Francis Rossi mentions Rory's name

along with Fleetwood Mac and Stan Webb (of Chickenshack) as he learned some blues stuff from .

Some years back, I've read that at an auction by Christie,

an American obtained a master soundboard tape recording of 1968 Woburn music festival,

Woburn Abbey, Bedfordshire, England, July 6 - 7th.

Rory ( Taste) performed "Summertime" by Gershwin among other songs there .

I was told that Rory played "Summertime" somewhere else, too, and it was a mixture of slow blues and jazz. So gorgeous.

He did play this piece also at Cream's farewel concert, I heard. I have been very keen to listen to this since.

If I were billionare, I'd hire the cotinental Op and find the person who bought this,

and I will beg to share the Taste part with me..... with us...

Then !!! I discovered Spotify has this piece from Woburn !!!!

But ... the first part (or rather I should say MOST part?) is not there..

I wish I'd rather not have lis.... No, I shouldn't say that

"Taste / I'll Remember 4CD box" issued back in 2015 inclues these 4 songs from the Woburn.

Darn, I just did not know...... orz

Total playing time of those meets the description down below.

It means "Summertime" only exist as .. no beginning.. just mare 1 min and 30 sec...

Is there someone who has Rory's "Summertime" as a whole piece ?????
