Our story is a special one. We are sisters who have always loved spending time together, dreaming big, and imagining ways we could make a difference. As both of us pursued degrees in Speech-Language Pathology, more and more pieces began to fall into place.
We have both served in school systems, supporting children ages 3–21 in both general and special education settings. Although we’ve loved our time in the schools, offering therapy in this way gives us the chance to connect with even more families—both within our local community and beyond.
Through our experiences, prayer, and guidance from the Lord, this project was planted on our hearts. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to combine our knowledge of speech-language pathology with a space where we can speak life and Biblical truth over children and families. It is an honor to follow the path the Lord has set before us, and we would be delighted to walk alongside your family, fostering communication, growth, and confidence in your child.
Our Credentials and Expertise
We are licensed and highly trained to support your child’s communication development. Here’s what that means:
Licensed SLPs must complete both an undergraduate degree and a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders. This extensive education gives us the knowledge and skills to evaluate and treat speech, language, and communication challenges in children and adults.
CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) is a professional certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). It shows that a clinician has completed rigorous clinical training, passed a national exam, and met high professional standards for practice.
We also complete continuing education regularly to stay up-to-date on the latest research, techniques, and evidence-based practices. This ensures your child always receives the best care possible.
At Rooted Words, our combination of advanced education, professional certification, and ongoing training allows us to provide confident, compassionate, and effective care for your child
