Hi, I'm Diana. I'm a Registered Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working in mental health and substance use, hospitals, and child protection. For six years, I worked as a Mental Health and Substance Use Clinician, supporting people navigating addiction, mental health challenges, trauma, and difficult life circumstances. My work has shown me that people are incredibly resilient, but also that change usually requires more than insight—it requires honesty, willingness, and action.
My approach to counselling is compassionate, practical, and straightforward. I believe people deserve to feel heard and understood, but I also believe they have the ability to take an active role in shaping their lives. I won't simply tell you what you want to hear—I aim to help you discover what will move you forward. Together, we'll look at what is and isn't working, identify barriers, build on your strengths, and develop realistic steps toward the changes you want to make.
I moved to Canada from Romania when I was five and have called BC home ever since. Outside of work, I'm a wife, a mom of two, and a dog owner. I enjoy being outdoors—hiking, paddleboarding, and exploring nature—as well as yoga, reading, comedy shows, and spending time with friends. I'm not someone who believes life can be perfectly organized or figured out, but I do believe we can learn, adapt, and make choices that move us closer to the life we want.
