Monitrice Care 

A monitrice offers birth support that sits between the scope of care of a doula and a midwife. They can offer clinical care to monitor your progress and well-being such as vital signs, fetal heart tones, and cervical exams, depending on your preferences. This service is valuable for those who wish to stay home and labor for as long as possible before going into the hospital or birth center to have a baby.  

If you have wondered if there was a better way to gauge when to go to the hospital but were uncertain what that timeline looked like, then a monitrice may be a good option for you. Once in the hospital, a doctor or midwife becomes your primary provider and is responsible for your care and monitoring. All clinical care and monitoring is directed by the hospital and birth center and provided by the hospital. A monitrice's role transfers to that of a doula and can stay with you as a support person and offer active labor support in the role of a doula. 

Package Includes

• 2 Prenatal Visits - In-person or virtual prenatal visits discussing your preferences, birth plan, and individualized education.

• Birth Attendance - Timing near the later phase of early labor when you'll need the most support.

• Immediate Postpartum Care - Support for you and your baby while bonding and assistance with nursing or bottle feeding

• 2-hour postpartum visit - in-home support and sharing your birth story (if desired)

• Bi-weekly virtual check-ins

• Message support as needed through pregnancy and 6-8 weeks postpartum

• 1 Night (10 hours) postpartum doula care 8p-6am

• $200 off additional postpartum visits (up to 6 visits)

Overnight Postpartum Doula Care 

An overnight postpartum doula cares for you and your baby so you can rest, sleep, and recover. This support can be especially valuable during the early weeks of parenthood, when consistent rest and practical help can make a meaningful difference. 

Your doula can help  answer questions, provide breastfeeding support, and offer an extra set of hands as your family adjusts. Overnight, they can assist you in finding balance and provide care you see fit. They can help establish a soothing bedtime routine, feed your baby or bring them to you for nursing as needed, change and settle them between feedings, and comfort them when they are fussy.

In addition to newborn care, they can assist with baby-related tasks such as washing bottles, folding baby laundry, tidying the nursery, and preparing items you may need for the next day. They may also help with light household organization, dinner preparation, or settling older children so you can focus on your newborn. The goal of overnight postpartum support is to lighten the load of your household, help you feel more confident as a parent, and give you the space to rest, recover, and care for yourself.

Investment:  

• 1 Night (10 hours) - $850 

• 3 Night Package  (10 hours/night) - $2,400

• 6 Night Package (10 hours/night) - $4,500

*Please note:  there is a $500 deposit to book a package. The remaining investment must be paid in full before services are rendered or finanical installment plan arranged prior to care.
