When open ROOT by typing root in the Command prompt or terminal, a new tab as a TBrowser in my web browser instead of the ROOT file explorer. Anyone knows how to fix it. I wanted it to open the file explorer. So that i can edit the root files in a new window instead of the browser tab.

I'm using an emulator and trying to mess with rooted files. For some reason the root explorer apps I've been using (Root Explorer, ES Explorer and Root Power Explorer are the ones I've tried) cannot access files in folders. The folders just appear empty. The emulator is in rooted mode, but the apps don't seem to think that the emulator is rooted. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I am using browser library to automate our angular app. However i am not unable to click a button inside this shadow-root. Tried all locators and nothing seem to be working or its not identifying the locator at all

this browser implementation can be selected via the env Browser.Name in .rootrc, (TRootBrowser or TRootBrowserLite) the default being TRootBrowserLite a list of options (plugins) for the new TRootBrowser is also specified via the env 'Browser.Options' in .rootrc, the default being: FECI

This function has to be called by the Browse() member function of objects when they are called by a browser. If check < 0 (default) no check box is drawn, if 0 then unchecked checkbox is added, if 1 checked checkbox is added.

TBrowser invokes by default the Web-based ROOT file browser [RBrowser](ROOT::RBrowser) To change this behaviour, and invoke the standard TBrowser, one should put the following directive in the .rootrc file:

An operating system built on the Linux kernel, a GUI, a web browser, and end-user applications that can be downloaded are all included in the Android platform. The operating system was created to run on reasonably priced handsets with conventional numeric keypads, despite the fact that the early Android demonstrations used a basic QWERTY smartphone with a huge VGA screen.

Take command of your Android device by exploring all of the file systems available. You will have complete root access to your device, allowing you to move and rename files as well as copy and paste them.

Root Browser is an Android application which is usually known as a file manager application. This is an ultimate file manager application for rooted Android mobile and enables you to take full control on your Android mobile. Apart from the exclusive features for root users, Root Browser gives you basically the same tools as you'd find on any good file browser: you can copy, cut, and move files and folders comfortably, as well as rename any document.

Root File Manager is the best file explorer for rooted Android phones. You can explore all of Android's file systems and take control of your rooted device completely. I saw in a reddit comment that it was possible to switch to root user in nautilus file browser by just typing in a series of forward slashes and colons. I've since forgotten the sequence and searching the internet did not return any answers.

You can go to the root folder / and double click the folder called root. Then, write your password two times and you'll get into the root folder. Then you can see / at the top of the screen. Click at that and now you are in a root instance of Nautilus.

The :root CSS pseudo-class matches the root element of a tree representing the document. In HTML, :root represents the element and is identical to the selector html, except that its specificity is higher.

The file manager part of the app isn't getting root privileges for some reason. I also use JRummy's ROM Toolbox and it's root browser works fine. I just want to use mouse/keyboard for file managing :)

If you are running a stock (made by the phone manufacturer) kernel on your device, chances are adbd is running in "secure" mode, even if you are rooted. This app lets you run adbd in "insecure" mode, which gives you root access in "adb shell", allows access to system files and directories through "adb push/pull", and lets you run the "adb remount" command to make your /system partition writable.

When you display Remote UI for the first time on your smartphone, tablet, or computer, download the root certificate, and then register it to the web browser. The secure connection will be confirmed and a message will not appear. However, the message may appear depending on a web browser even after you have registered the root certificate.

To save the certificate file to your device and register it, select Save. Select Internet options from Tool menu of Internet Explorer, register the root certificate from Certificates on Content sheet.

I am working in an environment where we frequently have issues with browser hijacking; i.e. an infected URL is visited and an attacker gains access to the browser in order to execute malicious JavaScript.

The simple answer is, "Yes". There's an easy way, and a better way.

The easy way: Most Puppys can be burned to a CD: you'll have to ask how with respect to some newer one. But before burning them you'll want to remaster so that your web-browser is among the files within your READ-ONLY media. Some web-browsers you'll find on the Additional Software Forum, viewforum.php?f=90 are configured to 'run-as-spot', a limited User who has no access to folders other than its own. Other web-browsers, which OOTB run as /root, can be configured to run-as-spot. Any web-browser available as a 'portable' can be located in /opt. Remastering will put them in READ-ONLY media. But, before remastering, you'll probably want to install MikeWalsh's spot2root application so that you can get the things you want out of the Spot folder. Remastering applications are discussed below.

The better way: There are several possibilities, they enable running secure operating systems with secure web-browsers from either a USB-Key, or even (less secure) a hard-drive. I have no personal knowledge of burning them to CD/DVD.

Explorations discussed on this Forum indicate that while 'running as spot' is as effective as the use of firejails under other operating systems, both can potentially be evaded. [The best work-around is to frequently reboot: Puppys 'run-in-RAM'; rebooting clears RAM; so any infestation gets wiped and their components can't reach a stage where they can be assembled].

EasyOS, viewtopic.php?p=45044#p45044 runs Web-browsers, other applications, and even other operating systems in containers. Containerized applications have no access to the rest of your system. A great deal more information can be found here, viewforum.php?f=63

My personal favorite is to run another operating system in a Chroot. Details and instructions for creating them are provided here, viewtopic.php?p=33971#p33971. As the first paragraph of that post states: "Why a Chroot? Because unlike other isolation mechanisms any Puppy can use it." I should have added, and any Puppy can be used to create the Chrooted operating system. ff782bc1db
