Room Setuu is a rental marketplace application operated by Anuj Digital Labs.

This Privacy Policy explains how Room Setuu ("Room Setuu", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information when you use the Room Setuu Android application and related services.

1. About Room Setuu

Room Setuu is a rental marketplace that helps room owners publish rental listings and helps renters discover available rooms and connect directly with owners.

The application may provide features including:

User registration and authentication
Phone number authentication
Google Sign-In
Room and rental listing discovery
Location-based room discovery
Owner listing creation and management
Listing photographs
Rental price and security-deposit information
Amenities and property information
Contacting owners through phone calls and WhatsApp
Unlocking owner contact information and exact listing location using credits
Renter credits
Owner subscription plans

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Room Setuu, we may collect the following categories of information.

2.1 Account and Authentication Information

When you create or use a Room Setuu account, we may collect:

Mobile phone number

Authentication information
Google account information when you choose Google Sign-In
User ID generated for your Room Setuu account
Account type or role, such as renter or owner

We use this information to create and maintain your account, authenticate you, provide application functionality, and protect the security of the service.

3. Location Information

Renter Location

A renter may allow Room Setuu to access their current location to help display rooms near their location and, where applicable, assist with navigation after an owner listing has been unlocked.

Owner Listing Location

Owners may provide the location of a rental property when creating a listing.

Room Setuu may store:

Area
Landmark or approximate public location
Exact property coordinates

The exact private property location is not intended to be publicly disclosed to other users before the required access/unlock condition is satisfied.

After an authorized renter unlocks the applicable listing, Room Setuu may display the exact property location to that renter for the relevant functionality.

4. Photos and Listing Information

If you create a rental listing, you may provide:

Property photographs
Property type
Room type
Furnishing information
Rent
Security deposit
Amenities
Tenant preferences
Property location
Description and other listing information

Photos and listing information may be processed and stored on our backend infrastructure so that the listing can be displayed to authorized users.

We may process uploaded images to optimize them for application performance, storage, and display.

5. User-Generated Content

Room owners are responsible for the content they submit to Room Setuu, including photographs, descriptions, prices, property information, and location information.

We may review listings and user-generated content for moderation, safety, fraud prevention, policy compliance, and marketplace integrity.

Listings may be subject to review, approval, rejection, suspension, or other moderation actions.

We do not guarantee that every listing or user-provided information is accurate, available, or free from fraud.

6. Contact Information and Listing Unlocks

Room Setuu allows eligible renters to connect with room owners.

Depending on the listing and the applicable feature, a renter may use credits to unlock access to owner contact information and/or the exact property location.

When you use a contact or unlock feature, we may process information such as:

Renter account ID
Owner account ID
Listing ID
Unlock status
Number of credits used
Date and time of the transaction
Contact interaction information
Applicable call or WhatsApp interaction event

We use this information to provide the requested functionality, maintain account records, prevent abuse, and maintain accurate transaction and entitlement records.

Room Setuu does not control the privacy practices of third-party communication services such as WhatsApp or your mobile network provider.

7. Credits

Room Setuu may offer a prepaid credit system that allows eligible renters to unlock certain marketplace functionality.

When you purchase or use credits, we may process:

User/account ID
Credit balance
Credits purchased
Credits consumed
Transaction information
Listing/unlock information
Payment status
Date and time of the transaction

Credits may be associated with your Room Setuu account and may be used according to the applicable credit terms displayed in the application.

8. Owner Subscription Plans

Room Setuu may offer subscription plans to property owners.

When an owner purchases or uses a subscription, we may process:

Owner account ID
Selected subscription plan
Subscription status
Subscription start date
Subscription expiry date
Payment status
Transaction/order information
Listing limits and applicable plan entitlements

Subscription information is used to provide the applicable features and enforce plan limits.

9. Payments

Room Setuu may use third-party payment service providers, including Razorpay, to process payments.

Payment transactions may involve information required by the payment provider to process and verify the transaction.

Room Setuu does not intend to store your complete payment card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or other sensitive payment credentials on our own servers.

Payment information may be processed directly by the applicable payment service provider according to its own privacy policy and terms.

We may receive transaction-related information such as:

Payment/order identifier
Payment status
Transaction amount
Payment method information necessary for transaction records
Subscription or credit purchase information
Payment verification information

10. Firebase and Google Services

Room Setuu uses certain Google/Firebase services to provide and operate the application.

Room Setuu is a marketplace.

Approximate location
Listing description

Sensitive/private information, including exact property coordinates and protected owner contact information, is handled separately and may require authorization or an applicable unlock.

Owners should not include passwords, financial credentials, government identification numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information in listing descriptions or photographs.

15. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Depending on the information and service involved, security measures may include:

However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

Room Setuu provides an account deletion option within the application where available.

Users should access the account/profile/settings area and follow the account deletion instructions provided by the application.

Your request should include sufficient information for us to identify the account, such as the registered phone number or email address.

For security purposes, we may need to verify ownership of the account before processing the request.

Upon a valid deletion request, we will delete or anonymize associated personal data subject to applicable legal, security, fraud-prevention, financial, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate retention requirements.

Google Play requires account-creation apps to provide both an in-app deletion path and an external web resource for deletion requests.

18. Children's Privacy

Room Setuu is intended for users who are legally permitted to use rental marketplace services.

Room Setuu is not designed specifically for children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
