Teaching Experience

A teaching reference letter from Dr. Jim Leitzel is available to view here

At the University of Chicago, I was the lead instructor for “Math Camp” for the over 500 incoming master's students in public policy each year for 4 years. The following links show my evaluations:
2020 Eval: 4.45/5;     2021 Eval: 4.42/5;     2022 Eval: 4.43/5;     2023 Eval: 4.36/5

I also served as the instructor for PPHA 30105: Mathematical Methods for Public Policy.   Overall Evaluation: 4.65/5;    Student Comments.

I have been a Head TA for Intermediate Microeconomics, Econometrics, and Behavioral Economics. Student comments can be found here, here, and here (highlighted).

In addition to the teaching above, I've helped hundreds of thousands of students around the world learn through DiagKNOWstics Learning, an adaptive learning platform I co-founded to help students learn math, stats, and economics. I received the 2018 National Tutoring Association’s Tutor of the Year award for this work.

My previous experience also includes teaching high school math (A.P. Statistics and Precalculus) in Detroit and managing a state-wide tutoring company in Michigan. While doing my Master's at the University of Michigan (2010-2013), I served as a Graduate Student Instructor for Game Theory, Statistics, and Math for Teachers.

I have also made educational rap songs through the non-profit SKULE.org. I am passionate about helping students of all ages learn anything they want to!
