Dan has been running the Rods N Rock Car Show since the beginning, starting around 2010. He was born and raised in Carson, ND. He has a deep love for and commitment to his community. He donates all car show proceeds to local causes each year.
You can find Dan ranching 365 days out of the year, yet he still finds time to organize and run the annual car show. He owns a '74 Pontiac GTO that he bought from his brother in '79 and has had it ever since. Unfortunately, he does not find enough time to take it on joyrides or attend as many car shows as he would like, but he hopes in the future to take more time to enjoy the drive.
Dan's daughter-in-law, Andy, joined him in running Rods N Rock around 2016. She began by creating a Facebook page for the car show, helping to get the word out to more people. Her role slowly grew to include other technical aspects, like designing flyers, promotional products, and trophies and later, taking on all marketing for the show. These days she does many of the behind-the-scenes pieces of the car show, serving as key support for Dan.
At the show, you might catch a glimpse of her zipping around, making sure everything is running smoothly. She can also be seen snapping photos of all the amazing vehicles and memorable moments to share later on social media!
Have you been to our registration table at any of our shows? If so, chances are you've met a bubbly personality that's sure to have you smiling big and even laughing by the time you walk away. That's Brandi! Her outgoing personality will leave you feeling like you've been friends for a while now. As Dan's daughter, she's been a constant source of support at many of our past car shows, and we're incredibly lucky to have her as part of our crew!
Dan's son, Kohl, is an essential part of the Rods N Rock crew, always ready to lend a hand with the car show's extensive prep work and during the event itself. He particularly enjoys contributing to the design and logistical aspects of the show, bringing his eye for detail to make each show better. He's also the go-to person his wife, Andy, consults for an opinion on all things related to car show planning.
On show day, you'll find him there bright and early setting up tents and tables. Throughout the event, he readily steps up for any task, big or small. From the registration table to counting ballots and handing out trophies, you can find Kohl just about everywhere, always ready to support our show and crew! His dedication and willingness to help are truly invaluable to our show's success.
Dan's youngest son, Bailey, has been offering his talents to the car show for years, consistently proving his versatility. He's always willing to do anything asked of him, whether it's cruising through the parade with Dan's GTO, diligently watching the show entrance, or expertly leading vehicles into place.
Most recently at our show, you might have seen him behind the wheel of the courtesy vehicle, ensuring everyone can get around the car show with ease. His can-do attitude and readiness to jump in wherever needed make him an asset to the Rods N Rock team.
When Jaden joined the Stewart family years ago, he immediately jumped in to help with the car show, embracing every task with a positive attitude. You'd never hear a complaint, even if he was asked to sit at the entrance in the hot sun all day, warmly greeting entrants in their vehicles or expertly directing traffic.
Jaden always approaches his jobs with a smile, driven by his love for helping family. When it comes to guiding guests to a parking spot at the show, he knows exactly what to do, making sure everyone finds their place smoothly. His dependable nature makes him a fantastic part of the Rods N Rock team!
The Rods N Rock Car Show has truly become a family affair. With the help and support of his wife, Jackie, and his children Kohl, Preston, Brandi, and Bailey along with their spouses, all of his many grandchildren, Courtney (niece) and Shawn (family friend), and everyone else who helps along the way, the show has been successful year after year.
