Eating more or diminished appetite
Sleeping more or experiencing insomnia
Loss of interest in the things they used to enjoy or seeking more pleasure than usual
Worry all the time or unable to concentrate
Feeling afraid or anxious
Feeling depressed or hopeless
Can’t get out of bed.
Does not have motivation.
Thinking of harming themselves or others.
Experiencing excessive behaviors, such as obsessions and compulsions.
Feeling like life is out of control.
Typically, the best results are seen after the 8th week of therapy. Some clients feel better after 12 weeks. It is important to remember that consistency with treatment is imperative to receiving the best care for your child. You can terminate therapy at any time!!
I am trained to assess and diagnose mental illnesses, and to present treatment plans that have proven effective based on research in the mental health field. This might include antidepressants or anti-anxiety medications, as well as other prescriptions as needed. You will be referred to your family physician or a psychiatrist for prescriptions and further evaluation as indicated by your child's circumstances.
