Rock Identifier Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of Rock Identifier, operated by APPMERGE TEKNOLOJI LIMITED SIRKETI (“AppMerge”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using Rock Identifier, you agree to these Terms.
The Service
Rock Identifier provides AI-assisted photo identification and educational information for rocks, stones, minerals, crystals, fossils, gemstones, and geology-related finds. Features may include photo identification, Rock GPT, saved history, maps, field context, notes, collections, and a geology guide.
Educational Use Only
Rock Identifier is provided for informational and educational purposes only. AI results may be incomplete, uncertain, or incorrect. Do not rely on the app as the only source for safety, legal, financial, medical, commercial, academic, or scientific decisions.
If a sample may be hazardous, valuable, regulated, or scientifically important, consult a qualified professional and confirm results with physical tests such as hardness, streak, density, UV response, microscope inspection, or laboratory analysis.
User Content
You are responsible for photos, text, prompts, location notes, and other content you submit. You must have the right to upload and use the content. You must not submit illegal, harmful, infringing, private, sensitive, or unauthorized content.
You grant us permission to process your submitted content as needed to provide, operate, secure, and improve Rock Identifier.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Some features require a paid subscription or premium access. Prices, billing periods, trial availability, renewal terms, and included features are shown in the app or store purchase sheet before purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through Apple App Store or Google Play before the end of the current billing period, according to the rules of the applicable store. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their refund policies. We do not control app store refund decisions.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the app or interfere with the service.
- Attempt unauthorized access to our systems.
- Reverse engineer protected parts of the app.
- Abuse AI systems or submit harmful prompts or content.
- Upload malware, illegal content, or content that violates third-party rights.
- Use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or platform rules.
Intellectual Property
Rock Identifier, including its software, design, branding, interface, content, features, and related materials, is owned by AppMerge or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit the app except as allowed by these Terms or applicable law.
Third-Party Services
The app may use third-party services for AI processing, hosting, analytics, crash reporting, subscription management, payments, maps, app store services, and infrastructure. Your use of Apple App Store, Google Play, and other third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
Disclaimer
Rock Identifier is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that identifications, explanations, AI responses, maps, history, subscriptions, or other features will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AppMerge will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses related to inaccurate identifications, user decisions, data loss, service interruption, subscription issues, or third-party services.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Rock Identifier after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
