The Rockford Cheerleading Program provides cheerleading opportunities for all Rockford Public Schools students, grades K-12. We offer spring and fall classes, summer camps, and Fall and Winter teams.
Cheerleading is a great way to build confidence, stay active and make friends- we hope to have you join us!

Ready Set Cheer - Registration opens August 13!
The perfect introduction to cheerleading!
Ready Set Cheer is Rockford Cheerleading Program’s beginner class, offered both in the Fall and the Spring,
and is open to all students in Kindergarten through Second grade.
Kathy Jo Resseguie (former RHS Varsity Head Coach) will lead this year's fall class, assisted by current RHS Cheerleaders.
All cheerleaders will learn cheerleading motions, chants, jumps, tumbling, flexibility, and age-appropriate stunting.
Cheerleaders receive a t-shirt, and cheer one quarter of a JV football game!
Ready-Set-Cheer is a fan favorite, and we can’t wait to have you join us.
Fall 2025 Registration opens on 8/13/25- space is limited!
Rocket Cheerleading- Registration closes July 31!
Join us this fall ( late August through mid October) as a member of a Rocket Cheer team!
Rocket Cheerleading offers all students grades 3-6 the opportunity to cheer on the sidelines for the Rocket Football teams.
Cheerleaders will be divided into teams based on grade level, and will learn cheers, jumps, stunts and more!
All teams will practice on Wednesdays in the RHS Gymnastics Room- first practice is on August 27, 2025.
Exact practice times are dependent on grade/team, but will take place between 5:30 and 8:00pm
Rocket Football Games are on Saturdays starting early September, at East or North Rockford Middle School.
Cheer teams will also cheer at one quarter of a Varsity football game!
Rocket Football game schedule will be shared with cheer families late August, when available.
