For #CodeWeek 2021, during #COP26Glasgow, and under the umbrella of The World's Largest Lesson, a lesson on the UN Sustainable Development Goals was presented to the students on November 11th 2021. All the above guaranteed and amazing experience for our students!
The goals:
- To get familiar with the UN Sustainable Development Goals;
- To ideate solutions related to the SDGs;
- To understand the importance of decisions made during #cop26
The students were split into 2 teams and each one of them had to visit and understand 9 SDGs. Both teams:
🧩 followed QR codes (a quest) that lead them through information and questions related to sustainable development goals;
⌨ programmed our favorite #Dash from Wonder Workshop to reach the next code every time they gave a correct answer to a question (over 26 QR codes in total);
🗣 presented what they have learned to their classmates;
🌍 chose an SDG and prepared proposals for achieving it.
Description:
This event was organized as part of the "I am not a robot" Erasmus plus project. It's an Erasmus project about coding and robotics. The members are from Belgium, Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, Latvia and Greece.
