Camp for the summer of 2017 will be located at Bettendorf Middle School. We will be in the cafeteria which is in the front of the building. We will have the doors propped open for you to enter directly to the cafeteria. You will not need to walk in the building or through the front doors. You will see the doors open and one of us outside. You can access the cafeteria from either entrance at Bettendorf Middle School.
Parents are free to come in with their child for registration and to see where we will be. You are also free to drop them off and come back and pick up.
For the morning session we will open the doors around 8:45 am. We will be there earlier, but that is to setup and make sure everything is ready for the day. When the session ends at 12:00 please be on time for pickup. We have a short window of time to prepare for afternoon and to eat lunch.
For the afternoon session, we will open the doors at 12:45 pm. The session ends at 4:00 pm so please pick up on time so we may go home to our families.

Here are some questions and answers received to help everyone
1. How many in a group?
We believe in providing each student with their own robot. This is part of the reason for the increase in cost and each kit is $360. We must deal with wear and tear and replacement of parts. This way each student can build the vision they have in their mind and to give them more time on the robot and programming. We will have them collaborate throughout the camp, but in the end they can make their own ideas come to life.
2. What if my child is not comfortable with public speaking
This is okay. We are not here to make anyone feel upset. However, we will have students stand up and speak about their robot. This is an integral part of the camp and a life skill for students to be able to speak about their ideas. Additionally, if your child is interested in a being a Robodog being able to speak and communicate is a skill that we are looking for in our members. They don't have to be perfect, but they must have a willingness to share.
3. What does my child need to bring to camp?
OPTIONAL
4. What if my child falls behind?
The reason we have moved to four sessions of camps is to reduce the size of each camp to allow us more 1:1 time with the students. We have three coaches and at times former Robodog members around to help everyone out. There is a balance between allowing students to struggle through their ideas, but not to the point they are miserable. We will make sure that students feel successful at whatever level they are at. The goal is to learn and develop skills.
5. Where do we go for the camp?
