Welcome to the REMOTE edition of the European rover challenge! RoboClyde was the first team from Scotland to participate in the competition, representing the University of Strathclyde.
As a team of software engineers and developers, we were passionate about space exploration and advancing the capabilities of Mars rovers. In this remote edition of the competition, we were tasked with developing the software for the provided demonstration Mars rover system, called LeoRover.
Our team was responsible for creating the software that controlled and coordinated the functions of the LeoRover, allowing it to navigate and perform scientific experiments in a simulated Mars environment. We worked closely with the hardware and engineering teams to ensure that our software was able to fully utilize the capabilities of the rover system and provide a seamless user experience.
We had a great learning experience and had fun connecting with other team members and organizers. We were excited to be a part of this exciting and important mission to advance the exploration of Mars and contribute to the success of the European rover challenge. We looked forward to demonstrating the capabilities of our software and hoped to inspire the next generation of space explorers.
