Education is my first concentration and is very important to me. Your education is vital to your everyday life, and to be able to work in such an important field brings joy to my heart. As a teacher, I wish to instill core values, and positive life principles in my classroom. Here is my education Philosophy.
In your classroom, a teacher’s principles and theories she has set are beyond important. That is what will set her tone in her classroom, also show her students that she means business. In my philosophy for being a educator, my main principle is to be there for each and every student. You never know a child’s thoughts, or what they go through until you show them that you care. Yes, you are suppose to educate them and get them ready for the world, and also the next grade level, but if you have a special connection with your students your classroom will run a lot smoothly. Once a student opens up to you, you can easily detect their weaknesses or strengths in different subjects, also they will be able to talk to you on a personal level which could have been a reason why they are struggling.
With you being accessible to the students, you are showing them that you care. They will show you a different type of respect, and you will be able to run your lesson plans differently. Being able to make the right revisions to help out all your students. A huge theory that I have for this is, how my teacher was with me in the 1st grade. We were a huge group of students, but the way she cared for us and showed us different learning strategies, we saw that she was doing her best to be there for all of us. That is what I wish to implement in my classroom, and that’s why it’s my main principle.
By coaching softball, I have tested my theory of what I thought would work with me and my players. It is true, there are so many different personalities and learning curves in all of my players. But, when I started getting to know them individually and observing them I have come to grips with what is best for them. All these techniques and skills, I will use in my classroom, because I see that they work. From working on the field or in the classroom I see that, I am teaching the young minds of those who will one day become a voter, or political, or some sort of leader to society. You have to be strong and guide your students on the right path, also be a mentor to them so they know how to get through different life struggles.
