Super Soup Saturday
Dear Allotment Holders
We’re delighted to invite you to Super Soup Saturday – a cosy autumn gathering for all our allotment community!
Date: Saturday, 1st November
Time: 3:30pm – 5:30pm
Location: Community Shed and Car Park
Come along for a bowl of delicious homemade soup, a warm chat, and a chance to connect with fellow allotment holders. Whether you’re a seasoned grower or just getting started, it’s a lovely opportunity to share stories, tips, and a bit of seasonal cheer.
Soup will be provided, so just bring yourself and your appetite!
As this is a community event please can you try and park in other areas rather than in the car park, and remember to wear something suitable for an outdoor event

Whilst this may seem to be a quick and effective way of keeping weeds down, unfortunately once the chipping mulch breaks down, it simply creates a layer of mud and soil above the metalled road surface.

Members are reminded that each plot holder is responsible for keeping the road bordering their plot weed free up to the middle of the roadway.

The Council will periodically deposit quantities of chippings and leaf mold over the course of the winter in the car park.

As the leaf mold will have come from public parks, members are asked to bag-up any paper or plastic litter in the leaf mold used and dispose of via their home refuse collection.

Further to comments re water pressure made at the 2019 AGM, Severn Trent Water sent a diagnostic team to assess the water pressure coming on to site.

Severn Trent's conclusion was that the water pressure onto site through both of our two water mains was well within the range water comapnies are required to achieve.
