Courtesy to Neighbouring Residents by the Site Entrance
Members are asked to be thoughtful towards neighbouring residents, especially those living near the site entrance.
Particularly when entering and leaving the site early in the morning or late in the evening, following complaints to the Council.
Please:
(1) Do not bang, slam or otherwise let the gate swing noisily. Operate it smoothly and quietly. Open the foot-pedal and close the locking mechanism gently.
(2) Do not hoot your car horn to attract the attention of someone already at the gate. If they have not seen you, be patient and open the gate yourself.
(3) Handle your vehicle in a quiet manner at the gate. Do not rev your car engine or play loud music.
Chippings on Site Roadways
Members are asked not to spread chippings on the roadways on site.
Whilst this may seem to be a quick and effective way of keeping weeds down, unfortunately once the chipping mulch breaks down, it simply creates a layer of mud and soil above the metalled road surface.
This mud and soil is then easily seeded and so creates a fertile environment for the next season of weeds.
Members are reminded that each plot holder is responsible for keeping the road bordering their plot weed free up to the middle of the roadway.
