TESS Research Foundation - How do Changes in SLC13A5 affect cells in your brain? (Published February 2026)

In this article, we explore the different cell types of the brain. Additionally we look into how variations in the SLC13A5 gene might alter the function of these cells. SLC13A5 encodes a critical sodium-citrate transporter, which has important implications for energy balance in the brain. Written by me, with help editing from Tanya and Amber at the TESS Foundation.

The Academic - Serotonin balance key to brain development (Published September 2024)
