I have spent countless hours throughout my career organizing and volunteering for scientific outreach events. Please reach out if you have any questions, or are looking to organize an event together!
Neuroscience Outreach Group
In 2019, a few peers and I officially created the Neuroscience Outreach Group (NOG). Since then, NOG has helped organize over 100 outreach events in the greater Denver area, reaching thousands of community members from all age groups. Thank you to everyone that has volunteered over the years and collaborated with us!
Some of our most notable events and achievements include:
Bringing engaging neuroscience related activities to over 20 local schools
Partnering with TEDxMileHigh to create activities exploring how the brain processes senses and creativity
Yearly Neuroscience Outreach Days at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science with thousands of visitors
Creating a comprehensive curriculum to implement neuroscience for students at a local K-8 school
Countless educational booths at local science fairs and events
Hosting science comedy nights and events at local breweries and libraries
Bringing local middle school students to our campus to show how labs function
Organizing social events on campus to promote community engagement
