Hi! I am Roberta Marziani and this is my personal page.

News (Since October 2026): I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Trento within the FIS 2_CoG project SingMeas, led by Prof. Andrea Marchese.

Previously, I was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow at University of Siena (see my Short CV  for all previous academic positions). 

My research interests primarily concern the Calculus of  Variations and Geometric Measure Theory. 

In particular my research projects involve the study of the following topics:

• variational models for dislocations;

• elliptic and non-local approximation of free discontinuity functionals;

• periodic and stochastic homogenisation;

• minimal surfaces and the Plateau problem in the non-parametric setting;

• wrinkling of elastic thin films.
