About:
The With;OUT Dance Project, abbreviated as WDP, is a collective of individuals from various professions, backgrounds, and skill sets who participate in a weekly dance laboratory to explore a creative process facilitated by Robbie Taylor, a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts and Science student at San Diego State University.
Robbie's approach draws from Robin Nelson's innovative research method, 'Practice as Research in the Arts (and Beyond),' merging somatic practices like embodied activism with contemporary dance techniques which results in them pushing artistic boundaries and exploring critical socio-cultural dialogues.
This research inquiry originated from the question: How can every one of us play a role in ensuring that all people, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, are provided safe, accepting, and supportive environments at home, at school, and in their communities?
Further research questions, inquiries, discoveries, and experiments can be found in the PaR E-Log.
