Rob and Breanna work with college students on the campus of GVSU and other campuses around Grand Rapids and West Michigan with Cru. We have two little boys: Jude (2) and our newborn, Kai. We love getting to grow our family and work with students at the same time. Previously, we worked with high school students as public high school science teachers for five years. During this time we also led a college ministry at our church with students at Notre Dame and Bethel University. After discerning a call with each other and those close to us, we transitioned into fulltime ministry with Cru and moved to Grand Rapids. Rob is also currently working on a Master's of Divinity from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and on the leadership team at their local church helping with preaching and discipleship initiatives. We value local church membership and involvement both in our lives for worship and community and in the lives of our students in our ministry. The local church is where students will have community, worship God, serve, and grow for the rest of their lives, so helping them engage in that now is of vital importance!
"When he (Jesus) saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:36-38
This video does an excellent job of explaining what many students today believe about God, Jesus and what difference that makes in their lives.
