The band is located at Pleasant Ridge Elementary School in Gastonia, North Carolina

 With a generous donation from Gaston County Schools and National Pawn and Jewelry, the band program was supplied with instruments for the students to use.

What started as a beginning band program to learn different instruments, the Roaring Panther Band has become a performing marching band that continues to entertain audiences throughout Gastonia and surrounding cities.

The band has up to 60 members that learn traditional band instruments such as trumpet, flute, clarinet, drums, etc.

The Roaring Panther Band has performed with the Carolina Panther Purrcussion, at Charlotte Checkers hockey games as well as numerous parades and other events.

In 2019, the band started a partnership with the American Cancer Society to help give back to the community and entertain audiences at Relay for Life events.
