Road Dog Skate Camp was Started in 2020 by Zachary Hypes to provide kids and teens the opportunity to skate in new places with new people and challenge themselves. Zachary Hypes is a public school art teacher and Kentucky State Teacher of the Year finalist for 2019. He has been leading skate camps since 2012 in Kentucky and North Carolina. As skater for 20+ years, Zachary has seen the powerful effects that skating can have on kids and teens. Common sense, determination, humility and community are developed through the sport.
Camp runs during, spring, and summer breaks. Saturday camps and lessons are also offered periodically throughout the school year. In order to support youth skaters across central KY, pick up/drop off locations are available in Shelbyville, Frankfort, Georgetown Louisville and Lexington.
