Rebekah K Nix, PhD

Rebekah K Nix, PhD is a professional lifelong learner with career experiences in higher education, in high-tech start-ups, and businesses in the natural sciences. A former student (BS, MAT) and retired senior lecturer (18+ years) at The University of Texas at Dallas, she continues to design, develop, document and deliver tools and resources to leverage the advantages of technology-enhanced learning environments. Encompassing multi-disciplinary interests in geosciences, education, and technology, she earned her PhD in Science Education (Virtual Field Trips: Using Information Technology to Create an Integrated Science Learning Environment) from Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Western Australia. As co-founder of Techtonic Insight, Inc, Rebekah currently works with a variety of clients across disciplines and domains to make better strategic use of available tools through improved knowledge discovery literacy. Her broad areas of interest and expertise include strategic planning for technology integration, data representation, e-learning, knowledge management, instructional design, change management, leadership, team building, and training from a social constructivist perspective.
