Business Purpose: An in-house survey of patient care hospital employees and volunteers revealed that only 20% were able to correctly answer scenario based questions on the warning signs of a building fire, the components of a personal evacuation plan, and the RACE and PASS acronyms.
Training was necessary to ensure that in the event of an emergency, 100% of patient care employees and volunteers were able to follow basic procedures to protect themselves and patients. This training also fulfilled several of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration requirements for employee fire safety under Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 1910 Subpart L.
Successful completion of this training was to design to safeguard the lives of Squires University Hospital patients, patient care employees and volunteers in the event of a fire emergency.

Business Purpose: An in-house survey of Craft Advisors who provide direct customer care indicated that these employees often brought one or two areas of craft expertise to the position. Craft Heaven retail stores carried products in hundreds of craft types from calligraphy to knitting. Craft Heaven’s marketing approach emphasized the personalized assistance that employees provide to the customer. Current employees were proficient in assisting customers with the location of items and as cashiers, but struggled to assist customers with making purchasing decisions
Training was necessary to broaden the knowledge base of the Craft Advisors who were responsible for providing suggestions to customers. Diamond art was a rapidly expanding market that requires Craft Advisors help customers choose a kit type suitable to their crafting purpose.
