Anna Avalos

Anna Avalos is the Multilingual Collections manager at the Los Angeles Public Library. Has been serving the Latino communities of Los Angeles for 20 years. From translating, selecting high-quality materials and promoting Spanish-language collections to assisting other library departments and branches with collections and initiatives, she strives to provide services, information and resources to the Los Angeles diverse communities. Particularly, the Spanish speaking communities. She was named a 2020 Library Journal Mover & Shaker–Community Builder.


Libbhy Romero

Libbhy Romero is the World Languages Collections Coordinator at BookOps, the shared technical services organization of Brooklyn Public Library & New York Public Library. She has written articles in Library Journal on collection development of Spanish language materials. She is a former REFORMA Northeast Chapter President and recipient of the 2016 Pura Belpré Librarian of the Year award of the REFORMA Northeast Chapter.
