About me

My life

I live in Enschede, a little city in the east of the Netherlands. The place is surrounded by green areas, which is amazing if you love cycling like me. When I am not with friends, I enjoy peaceful and relaxing activities, such as watching movies, reading mangas, playing videogames, cooking and eating italian food!

My PhD

I am doing my PhD in Mathematics at University of Twente (NL), where I work with Clara Stegehuis. My mathematical interests mainly concern Probability and Stochastics: in particular, my PhD project studies the influence of geometry in networks and network motifs.

My education

I studied Mathematics at University of Padua (IT), one of the oldest universities in the world. There, I received my Bachelor's and Master's degree. My math background is on probability theory, and my education is mainly based on the development of abstract thought, in accordance with the Italian tradition.

My social activities

Since the beginning of my studies, I have been socially involved in ASU Padova, the students' association of my city. I spent many years as a representative student and as a member of the board of administration of the University. I also actively work in the organization of various cultural event in the city.
