Through examination of different activities that professionals of Open Education do in their support of OER, the RLOE Professionalism Workgroup identified many skills associated with work in OER. We grouped these skills into categories so that we could better align professional roles to skillsets and then map those skillsets to existing professional development opportunities. This page include all of the skills organized by the overarching categories. This list does not include knowledge and skills that a professional might gain outside of open education. For example, a faculty member would be expected to have knowledge in their discipline, but they might want to add to their skills in support of open education.
