What the site looks like
What the site looks like
I highly recommend trying it out a couple times before actually putting your prompt in there. But it's your choice
FOR this example I am going to use this Prompt.
children's coloring book page of elephant spraying water in a jungle, cartoon style, bold thick outlines, fun exaggerated proportions, comic book style, pure white background, black outlines only, no color no shading no gray tones no gradients, printable coloring book illustration, professional line art
Above image: Paste your prompt just as I show here
Click on the MODE button. Choose your settings. I suggest test out each one to see which one gives you the image you were hoping for.
Vivid Story Telling: MAI-Image-2e
Stylized illustrations: DALL-E 3
Versatile expression: GPT-4o
for this example I went with Vivid Story Telling.
Next pick aspect ratio: Square-1:1 Vertical 2:3 for Portrait image and Horizontal Landscape 3:2
For the example I went with 2:3
Only use this if you have an existing coloring book page you would like to copy the style of: in that case, click this and upload the image.
In my example: I will not be using this.
I did try out the surprise me Button. Just to see what it would do.. Results are below.
Now we click on the Create button and see what it gives us.
If you have not done this yet: It will prompt you to create your FREE account before it will give you the output image. Upon doing this, in this order that I did, it will automatically go back to where you left off and create your image; It does require you to sign in or sign up for a microsoft account. I have one specifically for these kinds of signups, because I don't want spammed in my "regular" email account.
Below is the results of the Image creation.
This is what the page looks like.
Here you can see you have several options.
Add credits: They only give you 5-10 credits to begin with (not my favorite for this reason). However, I believe, if you have Microsoft rewards built up you can transfer those onto credits for use in this app. I am not positive about this. You will have to look into it.
The results of clicking on the Surprise me button.
it gets rid of your prompt and gives you a completely random prompt and then you click create for it to provide you an image, this does not mean it will be a coloring book page.
Here you can edit the text prompt and recreate the images. I see that it gives you 4 images automatically.
You can change the Mode/Aspect ratio in case you change your mind or you want to mape multiple options with the same prompt.
How to download your image
Click on the image itself that you want to download. You will see this popup. At the bottom of the text you will see the options: Recreate, Share, Save, download, Feedback and even set as wallpaper. For this purpose we will just download it. For the sake of testing out what eats up your credits: I downloaded all four.. If you like them and want to use them for yourself/your kids / grandchildren You can download them HERE. (along with many other free coloring pages I created with AI for free to my readers).
After I downloaded. I notice my credits were still at 5. So, lets recreate by adding a little extra text to the prompt (after the elephant spraying I added " and playing with a baby deer,"). And I changed the MODE to stylized illustration. a NOTE: Aspect Ratio sizes change dramatically in this area of the model. Portrait is now: 4:7 instead of 2:3 which is going to give you a much nicer page and less pixelated. I clicked Generate and my Credits didn't move. So it is possible, you could get quite a few pages / new prompts out of this.. This will take more testing to find out exactly how many the FREE sign up gets you per day.
NEW output with new text of baby deer: as you can see, ai makes mistakes. The two images on the right have black areas. You could cut these out if you have good software you can use (you can do it right inside canva.com). So not really an issue in my opinion.
Well, Now you should be able to navigate the site pretty well and create your own coloring book pages.
The uses are only limited by YOUR imagination so go get to creating.
