EECS connections

Unless you focus on pure EE or CS research, CS and EE are as inseparable as two sides of a coin.

It is through our understanding of hardware that we can design better software. Hardware's innovation is driven by software's insatiable demand for faster and more efficient solutions.

"When I was an EE professor, I taught CS classes.  When I was a CS professor, I taught EE classes."

About me

I am currently an assistant professor with the department of Computer Science and Engineering at National Sun Yat-Sen University (NSYSU) in Taiwan.  Previously, I was with the department of Electrical Engineering at NSYSU, prior to which I was with the department of Computer Science and Information Engineering (CSIE) at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST).   I was also an adjunct professor for the former department of Optoelectronic and Communication Engineering (now Electrical Engineering) at National Kaohsiung Normal University (NKNU).

I obtained my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University (NTU) located in Taipei, Taiwan (Republic of China).  Prior to starting the Ph.D. program, I studied Mandarin Chinese for 1 year in the International Chinese Language Program (ICLP), located at NTU.  Before then, I was a Hardware Engineer at Cisco Systems for 6 years.
