A project worth PKR. 9.4 Million, recently awarded by Higher Education Commission (HEC) under National Research Program for Universities (NRPU) for design and development of low cost small satellite platform
Role: Subsystem Lead, MS Pakistan
The project funded by Asia Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO), is the development and launch of one micro-satellite (SSS-1) and two CubeSats (SSS-2A and SSS-2B). The SSS-2A CubeSat has been launched in Oct 2021.
Role: Team member
In this project. coordinated by Harp Technologies, Aalto as a subcontractor has contributed with reviewing and analysis of mission design and platform for various small-sat missions. Additionally, the Aalto team was looking for novel SAR design concepts for small-sats, while other applications (RFI environmental applications, radio occultation, GNSS reflectometry etc) were taken care by Harp.

A project performed in Politecnico di Torino, Italy focused on development of necessary subsystems for plug and play satellites using a modular approach based on commercial low cost devices. The main research activity carried under this project is the plug and play approach to smart harness for small satellite to foster smaller-cheaper-faster design approach.
