Personal Profile:

An ambitious and hardworking professional, experienced electronic systems engineer, research manager, lab director and faculty member with many years of demonstrated experience in teaching, research and supervision in core areas of electronics, embedded systems and spacecraft engineering. 

My key research interests are Systems Engineering, IoT and Embedded System  design, platform reliability, plug and play design approach to small satellites, intra spacecraft data communication, attitude control and thermal analysis.

Currently I am an Associate Professor at Sulatn Qaboos University, Muscat, Oman. I have contributed to platform reliability and subsystem design of cubesats under Finnish Center of Excellence in Sustainable Space (FORESAIL) initiative. As part of this project, Aalto university, University of Helsinki, University of Turku and Finnish Metrological Institute (FMI) are coordinating together to design and launch series of cubesats in LEO and GTO carrying science payloads and novel propellantless de orbiting using Electric Plasma Brake.


Background

I completed my doctoral dissertation in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications, Poiltecnico di Torino, Italy in March 2014. Since then, I have been associated with the Institute of Space Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan and Aalto University Finland.
