About Me

Hi! I'm Mrs. Born. This is my sixth year at Riverwalk! I am originally from the Atlanta area and have recently moved to Greenville with my husband and our two dogs. 

I graduated from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide) with a degree in Elementary Education and I have a Masters from Endicott College in International Education. I also have a Gifted and Talented endorsement and am working on finishing my certification in Career Development. 

I have had the pleasure of teaching at the Elementary, Middle, and High school levels. For the past few years, I have been coordinating the dual enrollment program with our students at York Technical College and I also serve as the College and Career Counselor for our students. You can find me and my pup, ARod, on York Tech's campus, or set a virtual meeting with me to chat about future goals and college or career interests. 

Fun Facts:

1. I taught in a foreign country for the first three years of my career and I continue to love to travel!

2. I love everything college football- my heart lies with the Crimson Tide, but my husband and I have season tickets to the Clemson games. 

3. I'm a huge Taylor Swift fan and got to see her at the Eras Tour this summer.
