Career and College Promise? Dual Enrollment? Aren't they the same thing? Yes, they are.

Career and College Promise (CCP) provides seamless dual enrollment educational opportunities for eligible North Carolina high school students in order to accelerate completion of college certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees that lead to college transfer or provide entry-level job skills.

Each step leading to and each step taken on pathways should prepare high school students for college, both academically and culturally. Therefore, the experience from start to completion will be aligned with a “traditional” college student’s experience and the goal is complete a pathway, not just a few classes. Students will be able to enroll in courses taught on the college campus and/or offered online.

Qualified public (including undocumented), private, or home-schooled students can earn college credit, which can be applied toward high school credit.

CCP Fun Fact: There are classes that you can take a Durham Tech that will count for high school AND college credit! They will fulfill high school graduation requirements as well as prepare you for college! Stop by my office to get a pamphlet of the class list.
