Director of Bands

Mr. Kris Bence is currently in his 13th year of teaching. Before Riverside High School, Bence taught at Normal Community High School in Normal, Illinois as the Assistant Director of Bands. Mr. Bence and the Pride of Riverside have cultivated a legacy of musical excellence since assuming his role. Under his leadership, the concert bands consistently earn Superior Ratings and performed as featured ensembles at USC and in Washington, D.C. The athletic ensembles continue to be competitive in the state of South Carolina.
