PREVIOUS WALK: NEXT WALK: Upper Arley To Bewdley
My walk along the River Severn from Severn Country Park Highley, to Upper Arley. We begin on a cold October morning at Severn Valley Country Park where we make our way down to Miners Bridge, There is a mist on the river that soon clears as the sun arrives and warms up the day. We cross the river and turn left to follow the Severn Way to Upper Arley. The river is very high on this walk and small parts of the path are flooded. We were going to walk back to Highley on the opposite side but told by locals that it was really boggy in parts. We also pass Highley Station on the Severn Valley Railway, which I make a quick detour to visit.
