A navigational aid (also known as Aids to Navigation or AtoN) is any sort of marker which aids the traveller in navigation specifically intended to assist navigators in determining their position or safe course, or to warn them of dangers or obstructions to navigation in the water.

Common types of such aids include Lighthouse, Buoys, Beacons, Transit markers and Signage.
