2026-2027 Student Supplies for Upper and Middle Grammar, HISTORY and LITERATURE
Dear Parents,
If you have any questions after reading the list and comments, please text (418-6873) or email (bona0607@gmail.com).
Scissors, colored pencils and other coloring items and adhesives will need to remain in class.
Three-ring Binder (any size, may be shared with other subjects) to keep separate sections for HISTORY and LITERATURE.
- Folder with pockets for “unpunched” papers and maps
Pouch, Zip-lock bag or accordion file for small paper items
Supplies box or bag with a secure lid or a zipper. We will keep supplies on the shelf. Please mark this with the student's name.
Scissors to keep at Rivendell***
Colored pencils to keep at Rivendell*** (These are important for map work. A small pack with basic colors is fine)
Pencils (a few)
Crayons and/or markers
Glue sticks (several, but only one at a time will be needed in class)
Clear tape (several, but only one at a time will be needed in class)
Index cards (3x5, any color, please place 10 in folder or zip pouch)
Notebook (filler) paper (place some in binder; restock as needed)
Copier paper (place some in folder; restock as needed)
For HISTORY and LITERATURE, NO BOOKS will be needed in class unless it says on the weekly schedule, “Please bring name of book to class.”
For HISTORY, students will need their SOTW (Story of the World), v1 maps in class daily. In the the SOTW Activity Book, maps are spread out among the Student Activity Pages in the back. Please either separate these and place in a folder or envelope marked with student’s name (to be carried in the backpack), or have your student carry the Activity Book back and forth for each class.
If your family uses the digital version, please print the maps and send them in a folder or envelope marked with student’s name. Another option, as we won’t use all of the maps in any volume, is to check the weekly schedule (posted by the previous Friday) and print only the needed maps.
Students will use some of the other SOTW Student Activity Pages to complete assignments at home.
I hope that you and your families are enjoying the last month of summer - can’t wait to hear about the adventures!
Thank you,
Erin Bona (UG and MG HIST and LIT)
