To build upon my top three areas of focus, I believe I bring a unique skill set that will benefit our community from, not only bringing a fresh perspective to the board, but also using my skills in marketing, communication and collaboration. We live in a wonderful place and I also feel there are areas that we can do better; for example, the 2023 community survey showed a decrease of 5% from 2019 to 2023 in sense of community and there has also been a decrease since 2009 of the community feeling well informed of major issues happening in Highlands Ranch. Effective communication and collaboration are essential for the Highlands Ranch Metro District Board (HRMD) to address the needs of our growing community; for example most residents don’t know what a metro district is or if they should contact HRMD or HRCA (our HOA) or someone else. By working closely with local partners, I aim to strengthen our marketing efforts and promote community initiatives that preserve our heritage while shaping tomorrow. My experience and skills will help foster collaboration and inspire proactive solutions in increasing our sense of community as we educate and inform our residents of how their community adds to their quality of life.
