Curatorial Statement
Rising in the Plate Shift
Taiwan is an island born of collision—shaped by tectonic pressure and layered with cultural, political, and emotional tensions. In this landscape of instability, to rise or to bloom is never automatic. It is a choice—an act of resilience, creation, and presence.
This exhibition features six VR works, three immersive projections, one video piece, and a live performance, presenting how Taiwanese new media artists respond to rupture and uncertainty. Rather than surrendering to collapse, they transform pressure into imagination, fracture into form.
Art becomes a means of resistance and renewal—a voice emerging from the fault lines, insisting that even in shifting ground, life can still bloom.
