Artist : Hsin-Chien Huang 

Artwork : Seasons, Ekholux,  Imagine: When the world disconnects, what connects you? 

Hsin-Chien Huang is a leading new media artist from Taiwan and currently serves as a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Design at National Taiwan Normal University. His creative practice focuses on large-scale new media and immersive experiences that integrate XR, interactive technologies, performing arts, installation, and kinetic sculpture.

Huang’s groundbreaking VR works have garnered widespread acclaim and earned numerous prestigious awards both nationally and internationally. Among his most celebrated projects is La Camera Insabbiata, a VR feature co-created with American avant-garde music icon Laurie Anderson, which won the Best VR Experience Award at the 74th Venice Film Festival. His solo work Bodyless received an Honorary Mention at the 2020 Prix Ars Electronica and won the Golden Mask — the highest honor — at the New Images Festival in Paris.

His VR film Samsara earned the Grand Jury Prize at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival in Texas, and the Best VR Story at the XR section of the Cannes Film Market. At the 2022 Prix Ars Electronica, Samsara was further recognized with both the Computer Animation Honorary Mention and a Jury Honorary Mention, solidifying Huang’s reputation as a pioneering figure in the global XR art scene.

Artwork : Digital Deities: The Spirit of Restoration,  

Billy Yi-Chun Chang, a dance artist and former touring member of Cirque du Soleil. Drawing from his extensive international performance background, he initiated and leads this project. Bridging Eastern and Western spiritual traditions, he brings together traditional restoration and digital art to craft a digital ritual where time and divinity intertwine.

Hsiao-Yue Tsao is a Professor of National Taipei University of Technology, and the host of the Interactive Art Lab at National Taipei University of Science and Technology. She is a new-media-art artist as well. Her work has been showcased at LAFA.

Hua-Hsiang Chen graduated from the National Taiwan University of Arts with a film major and is currently pursuing a master's degree in interaction design at the National Taipei University of Technology. Hua-Hsiang’s creative work spans movie production, VR content, and interaction design.

Wen-Chieh Chang is a cross-disciplinary artist that integrates video-graphic creativity, interactive technologies and new media arts. His innovative works, such as “The Universe of Liu Kuo-Sung,” “Kuo Hsueh-Hu: The Reminiscence of Taiwan in His Heart,” “Childhood Revisited,” and “Wonder of Life,” reflect deeply on traditional culture and deconstruct it with new media art.

Yu-Ting Hsueh is a Taiwanese college teacher, artist, and animated filmmaker. His short films have been selected for over 50 international film festivals, including many Oscar® Qualifying competitions. His XR artworks have been showcased at Ars Electronica, CES, various museums, and exhibitions.

Artwork : Subsistence Machines in Meta World  

Che-Kuang Chuang, an award-winning Taiwan-based architect and designer, specializes in architecture, sculpture, and conceptual design. Now he is a passionate instructor at Taipei Tech, with expertise in computer-generated geometries.

Artist : C.J. Sunny Yen

C.J. Sunny Yen is an artist who uses animal imagery to explore the complexities of human nature and society. With a fairy tale–like style, her works reveal emotional themes such as love, loneliness, and desire, inviting viewers to reflect on hidden aspects of the self and the world through gentle yet thought-provoking narratives.
