ABOUT
Rishav Jaiswal is a Ph.D. Candidate in Civil Engineering at McMaster University. His research focuses on enhancing the resilience of highway bridges and transportation network under multi-hazard conditions like flood, scour, corrosion, and extreme traffic loading. His work integrates finite element modeling for structure's response to multiple hazards, data-driven surrogate modeling for efficient structural and material behavior estimation, hydraulic analysis, corrosion modeling and network-level assessment to support climate-resilient infrastructure planning. Rishav holds a Master’s degree from IIT Patna and has professional experience as a Civil Engineer with the Government of Nepal, where he worked on highway and building design projects. He has published widely in journals and conferences and is skilled in structural analysis of buildings & bridges, structural reliability analysis, risk assessment, & machine learning. His strong academic foundation, research contributions, and leadership experience position him as a promising emerging researcher in climate-resilient and AI-enabled infrastructure systems.
