About

RISE Ministry is a youth ministry of the First Baptist church in Elgin, Iowa. RISE focuses on youth from 7th - 12th grade. Our goals are to help youth find their greatest joy in knowing God, applying His word to their lives, and contributing in creating an environment where we spur one another on in loving God and loving others.

The theme verse for RISE is 1st Timothy 4:12 " Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity."

We believe the youth are not only the leaders of the future, but are currently able to set an example for the body of believers. We believe the youth have an ability to be the fuel that ignites the entire church. They are not to be looked down on, but rather equipped and supported as warriors on the frontline.
