The simple truth is… if we want a better world, we need better leaders. Right now, we need leaders that are prepared to know themselves, develop themselves, and lead themselves. Leaders who are not scared to listen to others, admit they got something wrong and change. Leaders who are purpose-driven and values-led. We need leaders like you!
So, are you ready to become the leader of your life? And if you are, what does that mean?
The content in this program has previously only been available to a tiny percentage of the world's most successful people. It will teach you skills that will make a game-changing difference and it will show you what leadership really means. Whether you want to be the leader of your extraordinary life, or the leader of others, this kind of learning will help you to take control of that direction and transition from teenager to successful adult, whatever success looks like for YOU.
This matters because the world you are entering into is different from anything that has come before. The nature of employment is changing, as are the jobs you will be doing in the future, the people you may be leading, and the communities that you will be a part of. The rate of change is unprecedented and preparing yourself in every way that you can is not only essential but also the right thing to do.
The great news is that the opportunities to create the life of your dreams has never been greater. The Human Leadership Programme has been created for those of you that want to take these opportunities. If that’s you, grasp this opportunity. Be curious, be open, be prepared to make mistakes, and allow yourself to be challenged and supported.
We Are the Ones We’ve Been Waiting For: Youth Advocacy Program
According to the United Nations Development Programme, there are 1.2 billion young people aged 15 to 24 years, accounting for 16 percent of the global population.
With an ever-growing population, youth are faced with daily challenges such as gender and sexual inequality, poor healthcare, lack of access to education, climate change, poverty and hunger, racism, sexism, social and political injustices.
But what are we doing about it? Young people have the power to make a difference, but where do they start?
Africa Matters Initiative introduces the: We Are the Ones We’ve Been Waiting For Youth Advocacy Program
This program will transform you into becoming a young leader who can tangibly change your community, country, and region through deep-rooted advocacy, and effective leadership that innovatively challenges societal norms for the better.
Throughout the course of this program, we aim to expand your knowledge to think critically about issues facing young people in your respective community, country, and the Global South at large while providing you with tangible skills and tools to position you as a changemaker.
Youth are not the leaders of tomorrow, but the leaders of today.
In all sectors of society, we are the ones we've been waiting for!

Can Robots Dream of Electric Sheep: The Promises and Perils of Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence is poised to dramatically change every sphere of human activity —be it in business, government, or the nonprofit sector. The promise of artificial intelligence lies in its ability to turbocharge human efficiency, whether it is early detection of disease or more efficient allocation of public resources. Simultaneously, there are serious concerns that AI can be weaponized by state and non-state actors, that it is biased, and that it will displace millions of jobs.
As emerging innovators and leaders, how can you become thoughtful and ethical developers of AI to tackle societal challenges? This course delivered by faculty at EquiTech Futures will build a foundational understanding of how AI works, its promises, and its limitations in tackling societal challenges.
The program will include discussions on how AI can be applied to contemporary problems in healthcare, poverty alleviation, agriculture, and more. Through group activities, you will learn how to build a blueprint for a novel AI application of your own and critique the feasibility and ethical implications of blueprints developed by your fellow Finalists.

Climate Change and You: Using systems frameworks and climate simulation to combat the climate crisis
Are you committed to sparking profound changes to help our planet?
Do you believe the changes needed in the world have to be grounded in fundamentally different ways of thinking and feeling? Do you believe that we have to radically change the systems we operate within in order to combat climate change and mass extinctions?
Then this program is for you!
This program will help you better understand the complexity of the climate crisis by providing hands-on experience with practices and tools from the Compassionate System Framework and the En-ROADS climate simulator. As actors in the fight against climate change, we will discover how we can maintain our engagement and vision for a better future while dealing with the personal and emotional reactions that accompany it.
About us: At the Center for Systems Awareness, an MIT non-profit organization, we have developed the Compassionate Systems Framework, which aims at cultivating compassionate leaders who are ready to take an active part in transforming the world for the better.
In the Youth Leadership Team at the Center, we have used this framework with youth worldwide for nearly a decade to help awaken the inner changemaker, practitioner and leader that lives inside every young person.

Overcoming Our Stone-Aged Brain In A Space-Aged World
The PGLF certificate programming for Rise is premised on the reality that our own brain provides the greatest obstacle in navigating the 21st Century. Leveraging a unique blend of fast-paced team challenges, brainteasers and real-world dilemmas, this course offers prescriptions to transcend our neural limitations so we can more effectively navigate a complex world.
PGLF is propelled by the belief that talent is evenly distributed across the globe, but opportunity is not, so this programming devotes special attention to the “hidden curriculum” that rising leaders do not receive in their formal training. Our sessions are particularly focused on providing insights and unlocking the secret wisdom of a vast range of our global leaders to develop a suite of skills to confront a rapidly changing world with confident humility. We will focus on how to:
Cultivate the 21st Century Mindset
Become Resilient
Forecast and Telescope The Future
Become A Questionologist / How To Interview
Observe, Attend and Focus
Find Mentors and Architect Networks
Make Difficult Decisions
Communicate Under Pressure
Read Critically and Synthesize Efficiently
Choose A Vocation
But the most important element of our time together will be the relationships that are formed between the participants as well as with the mentors and PGLF alumni that will join the journey as coaches, models and future collaborators. The course is specially tailored and engineered so that participants enlist support from peers and mentors to realize their visions of the future.
