Rima Akter received her B.Sc. in genetic engineering and biotechnology from Khulna University, Bangladesh. Her undergraduate thesis was on the creation of recombinant plasmids of yeast to produce enzymes for commercial uses that not only lower costs but also multiply production rates. She won a research-based competitive idea generating competition as a result of her elementary research, which let her identify a way to use waste and make bio-enzyme to clean the house and surroundings. The Sweden Alumni Network, Bangladesh gave her particular appreciation for her exceptional contributions to extracurricular activities.
