Sexual assault has been and still is a problem in many countries. On today’s edition of WPT, I discuss an article I found on NY Times about sexual assault in Egypt. The article is, “Video showing sexual assault by mob in Egypt draws outrage.” by Mihir Zaver and Michael Levenson. I’m analyzing the rhetorical elements of the article. In this article, the writers discuss a recent event and previous events of sexual assault in Egypt. They also discuss what the government is doing to combat this. For three decades the government let this go unchecked and now they’re finally doing something about as activists become more vocal in their disapproval. Don’t miss out on the one and only episode of WPT. You’ll never hear it again.
