Riki Rahman was born on September 9, 1994 (Pasaman, West Sumatra - Indonesia), as the eldest of four siblings. He was born into a Tapanuli Selatan Batak families, and his mother's daily language was Tapsel. However, his family lived in West Sumatra, and he also enjoyed speaking Minangkabau. Riki's language skills extend to several other regional dialects, such as Mandailing, Melayu, Ocu, Jawa, and Sunda. Apart from speaking multiple regional languages, he is also fluent in English and Mandarin 中文.
Riki completed his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (2012-2016), specializing in Green Energy (Supercapacitor) at the State Islamic University of Sulthan Syarif Kasim Riau. He then pursued his Master's Degree in Mechanical and Energy Engineering at National Chiayi University in Taiwan (completed from 2020-2022).
Since August, 2020, he was joined the Lab. Hydrogen and Fuel Cell. His current research focuses on "Developing Anion Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyzers with self-made Gas Diffusion Electrodes for Hydrogen Production" under the supervision of Prof. Chen Yu-Chen. His current research interests are AEM Water Electrolyzers, PEM Water Electrolyzer, Green Energy, Super-capacitor, and Supply Chain Management. After he recieved his Master Degree since Dec, 2022. He worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at National Chiayi University and National Central University, Taiwan. His experience in the industry is quite broad, and he has worked in various sectors such as mining, food production, catering, and finance.
Riki enjoys cycling, traveling, and playing badminton in his free time. Additionally, he engages in regular morning jogging every weekend to maintain a consistent fitness routine.
