RIGLOG ("the App") is developed and maintained by Aneesh Pradeep ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.
**The short version: We do not collect, store, or share any of your personal data. Your data stays on your device.**

## Information We Do Not Collect
RIGLOG does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
- Location data (GPS coordinates are stored locally on your device only when you use the detention timer feature and are never transmitted to us)
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Device identifiers for tracking purposes
- Financial information (expense data, income data, fuel costs)
- Advertising identifiers
- Browsing history or search queries
- Contact information
- Health or fitness data

## Data Storage
All data you enter into RIGLOG is stored locally on your device using the Apple SwiftData framework. This includes:
- Vehicle information
- Trip records
- Expense entries and receipt photos
- Fuel logs
- Inspection reports
- Maintenance records
- Detention events
- Facility ratings
- Documents and their photos
- Income goals
- User preferences and settings
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to:
1. **Enable iCloud Sync (optional)** — Data is synced via Apple iCloud using end-to-end encryption managed by Apple. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
2. **Export reports** — When you export PDF or CSV reports, the files are generated locally on your device. You control where those files are shared.

## AI Assistant Feature
RIGLOG includes an optional AI assistant feature powered by the Anthropic Claude API. When you use this feature:
- Your text input (expense description or question) is sent to our secure proxy server hosted on Cloudflare Workers.
- The proxy server forwards your request to the Anthropic Claude API for processing.
- An anonymous device identifier (randomly generated UUID stored in your device Keychain) is used solely for rate limiting (2 calls per day). This identifier cannot be linked to your identity.
- No conversation history is stored on our servers. Each request is independent and stateless.
- The proxy server does not log your messages or AI responses.
- You can use all core features of RIGLOG without ever using the AI assistant.

## Camera and Photo Library
RIGLOG requests camera access to photograph receipts, inspection defects, detention documents, and vehicle documents. RIGLOG requests photo library access to attach existing photos to expense entries and documents. All photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server.

## Location Services
RIGLOG may request location access (when in use only) for two optional features:
1. Automatic state detection for IFTA fuel tax reporting
2. GPS coordinates on detention events for claim documentation
Location data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party. You can use RIGLOG without granting location permission. These features will simply require manual entry instead.

## Motion Sensors
RIGLOG may request motion sensor access for the optional Drive Score feature, which uses accelerometer data to detect harsh driving events. All motion data is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted externally.

## Third-Party Services
RIGLOG uses the following third-party services:
1. **Apple StoreKit** — For processing the one-time app purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information.
2. **Apple iCloud (optional)** — For data backup and sync if you enable it. Managed by Apple with end-to-end encryption.
3. **Cloudflare Workers** — As a proxy for AI assistant requests. No user data is logged or stored.
4. **Anthropic Claude API** — For processing AI assistant requests. Subject to the Anthropic usage policy at https://www.anthropic.com/policies
RIGLOG does not use any advertising SDKs, analytics frameworks, crash reporting tools (beyond Apple built-in), social media SDKs, or data brokers.

## Children's Privacy
RIGLOG is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

## Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all app data at any time by:
1. Using the **Delete All Data** option in Settings within the app
2. Deleting the RIGLOG app from your device
If you have enabled iCloud Sync, you can also delete synced data through your iCloud settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
