RideRank keeps your data private by design. Your rides stay on your device, and the only information that leaves your device is what's needed for the optional global/country leaderboard and for basic app analytics and crash reporting. We never sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.
Location (GPS) RideRank uses GPS to measure your speed, distance, and altitude while tracking is active. Location is only used while the app is open — never in the background — and your location is processed on your device only. We never transmit or store your location.
Motion and Accelerometer RideRank uses your device's motion sensors to measure G-force and acceleration during rides. This data is processed on-device only and is never transmitted anywhere.
Photo Library Only if you choose to set a profile picture or save a ride card to your photos. Your photos are handled on your device and are never uploaded to us.
Leaderboard (Apple CloudKit & Game Center) If you sign in to iCloud and/or Game Center, the following is submitted so you can appear on the public leaderboard: your chosen display name, your selected country, your best top speed and that ride's basic stats (average speed, distance, duration, max G-force, vehicle type), and an account identifier (your iCloud/Game Center user ID). This is stored on Apple's servers and shown publicly in the in-app leaderboard, solely to display rankings. You can request removal at any time.
Analytics (Google Firebase Analytics) To understand how the app is used and improve it, we collect pseudonymous usage data such as in-app events (e.g., starting or finishing a ride, sharing a card), a device/app-instance identifier, and approximate location derived from your IP address. This is not used to track you across other apps or websites and is not used for advertising.
Crash & Performance Reporting (Google Firebase Crashlytics) If the app crashes or has performance issues, we collect diagnostic data (crash logs, device model, OS version, performance metrics) to fix problems. This data is not linked to your identity.
We do not sell your data.
We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
We do not show ads.
We do not collect your name, email, or precise location off your device.
Your trip history, vehicle details, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework — we have no access to it. Deleting the app removes this local data. Leaderboard data is processed by Apple (CloudKit / Game Center). Analytics and crash data are processed by Google (Firebase). See Apple's and Google's privacy policies for details.
Stop appearing on the leaderboard by signing out of iCloud/Game Center, or email us to remove your entry.
Delete your local ride history in the app at any time.
To request deletion of any data associated with you, email kiranvishalgajjar85@gmail.com.
RideRank displays GPS-based speed data for informational purposes only. Readings may vary from your vehicle's actual speedometer due to GPS signal variation or device limitations. You are solely responsible for your safety and the safety of others at all times.
RideRank is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
